High-pressure occupations, constant decision-making and connectivity and simply life in general keep the nervous system in a chronic state of alert. Over time, this "always-on" operational tempo degrades focus, sleep, cognition, and health.
MindWell House is a Lifestyle Medicine-informed retreat centre dedicated to the promotion of the evidence-based everyday habits that promote well-being, and prevention of chronic health conditions. Through lifestyle medicine based principles and practices, we empower individuals and teams in adopting powerful behaviour changes in lifestyle leading to prevention and better management of chronic conditions, overall health and well-being.
Set on ten acres of mossy rock and towering cedars in Victoria, B.C., MindWell House is a dedicated lifestyle medicine environment. We provide the physiological training infrastructure for rewiring resilience, restoring situational awareness, and reclaiming operational capacity.
